What is MICR?
MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is the foundational technology for modern banking. Since 1958, the American Bankers Association has utilized the MICR E-13B font for automated check processing.
Today, these characters are essential for printing bank checks and money orders across the United States, Canada, and beyond.
