Aztec Mesas is also known as Mesas. It's a supplemental 2D data field attached to a linear barcode symbol in order to increase its data capacity.
The linear barcode and Aztec Mesas barcode consist of an Aztec Mesas composite.
Aztec Mesas symbology allows user to select error-correction percentage. The higher error-correction percentage is, the larger symbol size it will result in.
Aztec Mesas barcode also allows user to choose one of two graphical configurations: the layers of data all on top of the host symbol or on both sides of it.
Host linear barcode could be one of the following symbologies: UPC-A, EAN-13, Code 128, Interleaved 2 of 5, Code 39, Code 93 or Code 93i.
The Aztec Mesas symbol width is of the same its as host linear barcode, quiet zone excluded.
It could have one to 32 layers of data.
The total Aztec Mesa barcode data capacity is decided by symbol width and data layer number. It's a good solution to encode more data for existing linear barcode symbology.
